一、课程的性质、目的与任务
该课程为专业技能必修课。目的在于培养学生的英语阅读理解能力和提高学生的阅读速度;培养学生细心观察语言的能力以及假设判断,分析归纳,推理检验等逻辑思维能力;提高学生的阅读技能,包括细读,查读等能力;并通过阅读训练帮助学生扩大词汇量,吸收语言和文化背景知识。阅读课教学应注重阅读理解能力与提高阅读速度并重。教材应选用题材广泛的阅读材料,以便向学生提供广泛的语言和文化素材,扩大学生的知识面,增强学生的英语语感和培养学生的阅读兴趣。该课程在听,说,读,写四大基本技能中占有极为重要的地位,为其他英语课程的开设以及学生以后的自学夯实基础,使学生的阅读能力往听,说,写三个方面内化,促进学生英语的全面发展。
二、教学基本要求
了解:词的构成方式、修辞手法、英语国家文化背景知识和语言风格不同的各类文体(记叙文、说明文、议论文、新闻、广告等)题材类型等内容。
理解:以每分钟60个单词的速度阅读生词率不超过3%的人物传记、故事、科普短文等,理解正确率达到70%;能读懂简单的应用文。理解中心大意,抓住主要情节或论点。
掌握:各种阅读方法(略读、查读、细读);所读材料的主要内容和中心思想。
